It began when he watched young boys arrive carrying hurt he knew too well. Seeing his own future replay in them forced one fact: if nobody broke the cycle, it would keep swallowing kids like them.
He decided to become the mentor he never had, and that choice awakened a nanotech colony bonded to the tattoos on his skin and the dreadlocks he wore as proof of survival. At first the swarm magnified his worst impulses, especially raw rage, suspicion, and the need to control all outcomes. He sends his dreadlocks around a target in a pulsing restraint that runs a scanning algorithm. The bind reads dreams, fears, and intentions, letting him calm, confront, or weaponize emotion. It needs very close range and works poorly on fractured or heavily shielded minds.

By releasing the swarm's lattice, Change Maker creates a 6G neural link among nearby people, letting hope and intent rise into one shared purpose. It can unify a crowd and turn chaos into coordination, but it leaves him exposed and can fail if selfish motives overpower it.

Change Maker ended the standoff by choosing restraint over the easy win.

Change Maker triggered Neural Core and opened a shared link among them. Everyone felt urgency to protect kids, clear exits, and stop feeding the violence. The block moved as one body long enough to save lives. When the link collapsed, he dropped to one knee under the weight of their fear and hope, but the street remembered what unity felt like.
