The Department of Correction Retreat at the Environmental Services Building will feature Clarity at All Levels, an exclusive, staff-only session designed to help Department of Correction team members reset their focus, protect their capacity, and leave with practical clarity they can use immediately. Hosted by 80Grit Consulting in collaboration with Fourth Gen Labs, this experience is built for people who carry real responsibility every day and need tools that work in real life, not just in theory.
The session moves through guided activities that turn “clarity” into action. Smoke & Mirrors helps participants get honest about where self-care is real versus performative by sharing “two truths and one mirror,” then naming what keeps the “mirror” habits in place and what it takes to replace illusion with intention. The group dialogue Selfless or Selfish? challenges guilt and reframes boundaries as a way to protect peace and prevent burnout, using clear definitions and practical workplace scenarios to spark honest conversation.
A featured highlight of Clarity at All Levels is Special Guest Christian “Creed” Reed, Founder of Fourth Gen Labs, presenting The Digital Mirror. Creed breaks down how technology can keep us consuming the world’s problems until our capacity is soaked up, leaving little room to breathe or accomplish what matters most. He then shows staff how to limit usage and reposition technology as a tool for clarity. The signature activity, AI Thought Partnership, demonstrates how Creed uses his personal assistant to ask better questions and surface perspectives that make the user more human, not more dependent. He does not ask AI for answers. He asks for clarity.
